Beta invitation for Aviary Webapps

Today I recieved a beta invitation to Aviary – a collection of online applications for “image editing to typography to music to 3D to video”. By now it only seems I have access to Phoenix – a image editor and Peacook – a pattern creator.
When it comes to Phoenix it is no Photoshop killer, but it got the most basic features, and if you are far away form your “personal” computer it will do the job. The flash based application will let you import images right from your Flickr or Picasa account into the canvas.

Peacook is more like Yahoo Pipes only with images and patterns. Its a pattern/texture creator, and you drag generators and effects to the stage. With a property panel you can experiment with the different parameters and it that way compose your piece of art.
